This week I was honoured to go up to the hospital to take photos of this gorgeous little (big!) baby Stuart! He is just 2 days old in these photos, and just perfect. This is the 3rd time I have taken photos for these guys, and every time the boys get even more gorgeous. Stuart will have many fun days with these two big brothers that's for sure! Abbie+Millie [sisters]

Yesterday I went out with these two gorgeous sisters and did some photos for their annual Christmas Card. The poor things, it was SO cold and windy, but they did a brilliant job. These girls are a wonderful mix of cheeky, serious and absolutely beautiful. I am also extremely lucky to be their Aunty. I swear I have the most adorable family! Millie is the littlest one (blonde hair) and she wouldn't crack a smile for me,she was very serious the whole shoot, but I managed to get a few out of Abbie, love these girls :)

Over the weekend I had a shoot with these guys, who have been booked in all year, so was great to finally meet them! The location was absolute heaven, I loved it, so many beautiful spots for photos! And little Miss M, she was so cute, and oh my goodness she had a cheeky little attitude! We did have trouble getting her to stop dancing and running for longer then 2 seconds to get a photo, but we managed in the end! She was a bag of laughs!

I had a small little shoot just for a few quick christmas card photos, of these two absolutely adorable little brothers. I love seeing siblings interact, especially when the older one is so caring and protective of the younger one, so sweet :)

4 Week Old Frankie

Today I had this gorgeous family come out for photos of this little guy Frankie who is 4 weeks old. He was wide awake for a while, and didn't want to be nude for his photos, but once we got his clothes back on, he was sound asleep snoring away! He is so strong for a newborn, so we had no hope of getting the usual curled up asleep photos, but we did get lots of cute photos anyway!

Jack & Amity

On the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing these two cuties Jack & Amity, twin 3 1/2 year old siblings! These guys did anything to look away from my camera, they are so cheeky and do not like having their photo taken, but I persisted and got many wonderful shots still! Amity is just a little doll, her porcelain skin and big, bright blue eyes are just amazing, and Jack, he reminds me so much of my 3 1/2 year old Jack that I could take his photo all day too! He is just such a handsome little man!
Jack & Amity hadn't seen their Daddy for 2 weeks before our photo shoot, and they didn't know he was coming along, so I am really happy I captured them so excited and surprised to see him when he showed up, I love the emotion in the photos.
Thank you so much to their Mum for such fantastic choice in their clothing, it really does make a huge difference to photos, you have great taste! Thank you also, for coming from so far away, I hope you love these pictures for years to come!

Tylah, Summer & Jack

Whenever my eldest niece Tylah comes over to stay I always grab out my camera to take photos of her, she is just beautiful, and being 6 years old, she loves getting her photo taken so I always make the most of it! Today while our son was sleeping I took some of her with our 5 month old baby Summer, and they turned out just perfect (in the eyes of a proud Aunty & Mummy anyway!). Then once Jack woke up he let me take just a couple of him, he doesn't like to sit still for very long! Absolutely love my family, they are just the best thing on this earth :)

As well as take photos today, we also had fun baking blueberry muffins, going to the shops, playing at the park, painting face masks, playing footy outside in the warm sun and then the kids finished the busy day off eating popcorn on the couch together watching a Barbie movie! Phew what a day!!

The first photo is a perfect example showing why clothing choice is so important in photo shoots, changing Summers outfit made the photos so much better, so please remember this when choosing your outfits for photo shoots!

This afternoon I had a shoot with Sam & her 2 beautiful dogs, Xena & Bruce! Same LOVES her pets, and I did a gorgeous shoot with her & her horse last year, so this time was the dogs turns! Now I won't lie, taking the dogs photos was incredibly hard! Poor old Xena is only using 3 legs at the moment, and can't hear too well, and well, much like photographing a 2 year old child, they just wanted to run away! We still managed to get some good shots though, so here's a few of my faves :)

My Blog Is Back!

So here I am, back on my blog! It has been over 1 year since I have updated my blog, I took a veeeeeeery long break from it, but am ready to start posting again! I originally stopped my blog posts because so many people seem to prefer looking at photos on my Facebook Page, however the photo quality on Facebook is pretty dismal and does absolutely no justice for any photographers talent, so I figured the best way to showcase my work is back on here! My Sneak Peaks now of clients shoots will be that, a 'Sneak Peak', rather then my old posting on Facebook of almost the whole shoot! So now it will be hard selecting my favourite 3 or 4 photos from a shoot! I have been off from photo shoots since February this year, since I had our Second baby in April....we had a baby girl 'Summer' who is now a whopping 4 months old! Where does the time go? We have also moved town, to a little country town, Pittsworth, about 40 minutes from Toowoomba, but I will still be doing my shoots in Toowoomba :) Life has been incredibly busy this year, but have enjoyed every minute of it!
I start back doing photos in September, and I already have quite a few sessions booked up until Christmas, with only about 3-4 spots left this year, so please please email me as soon as you can if you would like to book in. I am really wanting to theme things up now for my shoots, get creative, think Cowboys and Indians, homemade beautiful tents, Daddies fishing with their little ones, Mummies and Daughters playing hairdressers etc. I also want to branch out and do shoots inside my clients homes (if of course they are very well lit with beautiful sunlight), photos around your belongings, in your backyard, doing your own family things. So if this interests you at all, let me know and we will do it! I am very very excited for the things to come!

I can't possibly do a blog post without photos, so here are a few from our gorgeous (bias much?!) children, Jack and Summer. The love they have for each other is already very overwhelming, it is just beautiful so I love to capture it as much as I can on camera!

Big Changes..

I have been really busy lately, and unfortunately my blog has got no attention at all! I have just updated it from my last few shoots, but a few have been re-scheduled etc due to this massive amount of rain the last 1-2 weeks! Thankfully, today is beautiful and sunny :)

I have spent many many hours recently getting my My new website built by the awesome Andrew at Phillips Design. He has put in so much hard work to do this for me, and I am so grateful as he has done such a fantastic job! I highly recommend him to anyone needing a website made! Thank you so much Andrew :)It is a MASSIVE accomplishment for me to get my website up, and a big step forward in my business, so I am really proud of that :)

I also designed new Business Cards and had them printed, they look pretty awesome if I must say so myself!

I have a Facebook Photography Fanpage up and running which is drawing in a lot of new clients and seems to be working really well for me, which is exactly why I have chosen to stop posting on my blog at this stage. Having to update my website frequently, as well as updating Facebook after every shoot and then to do the same on my blog is a lot of work! I don't really see the use in doing it to all three, so from now on I will just have My new website and my Facebook Page . For all recent shoots please visit my Facebook Page to view the photos, which is just the same as my blog :)

My photography business has taken off and become successful far quicker then I ever imagine, so I am absolutely loving all of the shoots I have happening at the moment. I need to put all my time into my family, myself and my work now, so having to update all three places is just a bit too much at this stage.

Rain Rain Go Away [Family]

I really, really looked forward to Sunday's shoot and as the day got on, the weather got worse! I was adament I was going to still give it a go, and this awesome family didn't mind getting a little wet, so off we headed with gumboots and umbrella in hand! Even though it rained the whole time, I loved taking their photos, and as 'Master M' is the same age as my little Master Jack, I loved it even more-22 months is the best age! These photos turned out beautiful, and the rain made for a lovely background but we are heading out again to get more photos next week (if this weather clears) so stay tuned for more photos in the coming weeks of this cute family :) Thanks so much for braving this very crazy weather with me guys, I hope you love your photos, looking forward to Take 2!

A couple of weeks ago I headed out to the Japanese Gardens again to do some family photos for this gorgeous family. Little Matilda and Oscar, and their Mum & Dad Cayce and Chris, were such a pleasure to take photos of. I love nothing more then when I go to a shoot and am so comfortable that it feels like we have been friends for years, and could just chat forever. This is what this shoot was like, and we let the kids pretty much run wild and play just like they wanted too and I got some of the most beautiful shots I have ever taken. The Bolton Family

I headed back out to the Japanese Gardens to take some phots for Dean and Kelly of their cute little family. It was such a beautiful afternoon, and I enjoyed following the 3 boys Jack, Spencer & Rory around while they were playing and just snapping away :) Kelly and Dean only wanted a couple of certain photos, and our shoot was over and done with in just 30 minutes! I thought for sure that a shoot with 3 young boys would be much harder then that, but nope they were fantastic, and absolutely love the camera :) Here's your sneak peak guys, I hope you like it!

Kelly and Dean have ordered a massive 16x20 inch print of their youngest son, Rory to fit in on the wall with photos of the other boys at the same age-and it looks amazing!

Jack [lollipop]

While I was doing Jack's easter photos on Sunday, I thought I would do another little shoot with a big lollipop too! Jack isn't usually allowed lollipops, every other sweet under the sun is ok, I am just funny about lollipops! So I think he thought it was his birthday today when I pulled out this yummy looking one! He had a great old time eating it, and before he knew it Mummy was a big old meanie and put it away! Until recently, I haven't gotten too many 'fantastic' (ie. photographer worthy photos that aren't snapshots) of him, but I have been going to great lengths to make sure I get heaps lately, and these are some of my favourites, I love the colouring and greens in them. My boy has grown up way too fast, he is just too cute for words :)

Jack [easter]

I keep meaning to take my son Jack out for some Easter photos, and I finally did it last Sunday! We brought 3 baby chickens last weekend, so I wanted to get the photos done before they got too much bigger, they are growing so fast! Jack absolutely loves the chicks, he has named them all on his own, no help at all, and they are called : Din Din (dinner)(the black one), Chick Chick, and Chicky Babe. It sounds so cute when he says ni ni to them all before bed :)
He kept thinking he could eat the pretend easter eggs today, and got a rude shock when he bit into foam, needless to say-I promised him a real chocolate egg when we got home!
Rest assured that no animals were harmed during this photo shoot, and we are keeping them for pets :)

Erich [baby]

Last weekend I met with Sacha and her adorable little 3 month old boy, Erich. Poor little Erich (and his mummy and daddy) hasn't had the best start to his life, with him being in hospital a few times, and being quite sore and unsettled :( I am really happy to have captured these beautiful photos of him, being all cute and happy though! He had his ups and downs (as does any baby!) but we persisted and got lots of great photos! He was pulling some of the cutest smiles, and must make his parents hearts melt! Here is a little sneak peak at your photos guys, I hope you love them :) And hang in there, it will all get better soon, so try to make the most of this hard time :)

On Sunday I went out with Jamie and Courtney (in this miserable, rainy weather!) and got heaps of shots of them being all cute and lovey together, and I had heaps of fun doing so! There was a couple of awkard moments, with people staring (ie. a bus interchange full!) but we got there in the end! I absolutely loved Courtneys killer heels (I have no idea how she walks in them! I struggle just in thongs!) but they matched her killer legs perfectly! And Jamie-he's a pro in front of the camera too, I definitely think his calling is right in front of the lens :)

I can't believe how much air they got jumping in front of the graffiti wall, and it turned out awesome!
I really love these spots we shot at today!

The Moore-Leotta Family

It was out to Warwick on Sunday to do another shoot for these guys, I did their family shots when little Ken was a newborn only 3 months ago, so it was time for some more because he has grown so much! The forecast was for rain, but we thought we would risk it anyway, and after we got to the location, unloaded and set up for the first shot, it started pouring! So we packed everything up and drove around until it stopped, which wasn't too long. We headed back to the spot and snapped away! It showered on and off, but as a bonus, it made for really beautiful lighting! Definitely wasn't my easiest shoot, little VJ hates photos (as does most 3 year old boys!), so the photos are about as natural as you can get! Lillian who has just started Prep just loves me taking her photos, she is always posing for me, and then wanting to see the photo afterwards, and even takes a few good shots herself!
We decided I need a little turn table to sit on to spin around really quick when the kids are running so fast! I am really happy with this shoot and have many photos to edit, so here are a fair few to get you by guys! Thanks again guys for getting me to capture these precious moments with your beautiful little family :)

The Plowman-Whyatt Family

On Saturday, I headed back over to the Japanese Gardens to meet Rebekah, Russ and Connor to take their first ever family photos. It was so easy taking their photos, I love it when I am at a shoot and we can just chat like old friends, it makes the whole shoot so easy, and more relaxed, and then-I get photos like these! Connor took a while to warm to getting his photos taken, but as soon as his Daddy got out a ball, that was it-we got smiles and giggles galore! And aren't they just the sweetest smiles ever?! Thankyou so much for asking me to take your first family portraits, I had so much fun and I hope that these photos are just what you hoped for plus much much more! I know I am extremely happy with them, and have definitely got some of my best ever shots :)

On the weekend I photographed this beautiful little family at Queens Park. It was the best weather, and we had heaps of fun with the kids, having tea parties, swinging them around and just giggling heaps. I don't think I have ever left a session with that big a grin on my face :)
Grace is the littlest one, and she is just so placid and happy! I don't think I heard her get sad at all! Then there was Logan who was 2, and just the cutest little boy, I have never seen a 2 year old so happy to have his photos taken. Then there was Brooke,3 and wow she has one awesome personality! She pulled me faces, stuck her tongue out, and gave me some of the biggest, brightest smiles I have gotten. Newborn Twins

Last week I had the amazing opportunity to do a shoot for my lovely long time friend Kirstie's, 3 week old little twins, Lyra and Jake. I'm not going to lie-I was nervous as hell. I have never done a shoot with twins before, and I figured thought it was going to be really really hard! Turns out, I had nothing to worry about! These are 2 of the most placid, calm little babies I have ever seen, and it was probably even easier then most newborn shoots I do! I have way too many favourites, so here are quite a few of my top picks, I hope they make you go 'awww' as much as I am! I really love Jake's arm around Lyra, like he is protecting her already, makes my heart melt :)

My Toddler Jack!

It isn't often that I get to do a shoot with my 20 month old sonJack. When he sees the camera he either a) runs a mile or b) tries to be the photographer and take the pics. Today I thought I would just let him play in his room, run, jump, squeal and dance, and I would just sit there and snap away. It worked. Absolutely gorgeous photos (biased much?!) of our little dude. In my opinion, these are far better then any 'sit down and pose, say cheese' type of photos. These photos today are the exact direction I want my photos to go in, just like these. Hope you like them :)

Newborn Mackenzie

My little niece Amelia is very quickly growing up and is now almost a whole 8 weeks old! We took full advantage of my son being asleep this week and Amelia being settled at the same time and very quickly took a few shots of her. She is the spitting image of her Daddy and changing all the time! I swear my family must be glad to have a photographer as a sister, they get more photos then most families I know!

I did a shoot for this wonderful family while they had a rare moment all together, and it was heaps of fun :) I loved all of the kids, they were all so cute in their own little way, and the youngest, Myah who is 18 months (around my sons age) reminded me so much of Jack, getting lots of photos of her back, running away! There are far better things for them to be doing then sitting in front of a camera! I really loved that I could capture them all here together in Australia, and all the cousins together, they are precious memories to capture and keep :)

I got to do a Christmas shoot with Olivia over the weekend, and she is just gorgeous! She made me work pretty hard to get a smile, but I got one! She is a really serious little girl, so Mum is happy to have these ones show her true personality, even if she didn't want to smile for us much! We found lots of 'fairies' for her yesterday, and she loved unwrapping my pretend christmas present, and loved the box of tissues underneath all the wrapping! 3 Day Old Sweetness

Please welcome Little Miss Amelia into the world. She decided to arrive 1 week late on the 26th of October, and boy is she beautiful! I followed my sisters pregnancy with plenty of photos, all posted on my blog which were gorgeous, but I am so excited to have my new little niece here to harass with the camera! Congratulations to Ashleigh, Andrew and Big Sister Abbie on your new little family of four!

This was a very quick shoot of around 15 minutes in total while our toddlers were napping, and Amelia decided she would much prefer to be awake, so we are doing a re-shoot tomorrow, can't wait!

My little sister Ashleigh is 39 weeks and 6 days pregnant today, so what better way to take her mind off things then to go and take some very last minute photos! I wanted to get photos of her belly as close to her due date as possible, and I did just that! The weather wasn't really participating but we got some good ones anyway. Here are some photos to show how beautiful she is looking. I am trying a few different things editing wise, so I hope you like them! Ash, I hope your sweet little girl makes her entrance into this world soon for you.

I had the pleasure of photographing the most adorable little boy last week, he was 'technically' 2 days old, but was actually born back in June because he was far too impatient to wait any longer! After struggling a little, we worked out he hates having his clothes off, so once they came back on he was sound asleep! I have so many favourites so here you go!

Kirstie's Belly!

My friend Kirstie is 19 weeks pregnant with her 2nd and 3rd babies-twins! A lovely little boy and girl! She has a very cute little tummy! I love these photos with her little girl Lilly, she is so adorable. These were only very quickly taken at Mothers Group last week, we didn't actually plan on taking photos with Lilly, just do her timeline, but I snapped away for about 1 minute and they turned out great!

My little sister Ashleigh is now almost 32 weeks pregnant with baby number two! I have been taking her timeline photos for her and she is looking absolutely gorgeous! Not long to go now!

Last Day of Autumn....Sibling Fun!

Yesterday I had a shoot with three of the cutest siblings! It was a typical cool, Toowoomba Autumn Day, but these guys had heaps of fun playing in the leaves and jumping from stone to stone over the streams! They weren't even too fussed when they would slip a foot into the muddy water-now that's real kids, not afraid to get dirty! They didn't like the idea of sitting together and smiling (which kid does?) so I just followed them around playing and snapped away-these are the most natural photos I have ever taken! I love their mum's taste in clothing for them, it's exactly the same as mine. I tried some new editing out on these photos, so let me know what you think!

Yesterday I was lucky enough to do a shoot of children who actually sit still! I am so used to babies now, who wriggle and run everywhere that this session was like a breath of fresh air! Charlie needed some Portfolio photos taken, so I also took some of her cutie little brother Dylan as well, aren't they just the cutest kids?!

A Surprise Engagement!

When I asked my little sister Ashleigh if she would like to do family photos this weekend, she happily agreed, thinking I was just dragging them out for more photos. Little did she know that her partner Andrew and I had already been secretly planning a big surpise and that halfway through the photoshoot Andrew would declare his love for her, get on bended knee and propose to her with her dream ring. Everything went perfectly, and at first Ashleigh thought he was joking, but once the ring was out she knew it was for real and the tears came. I had to try and compose myself while taking the action shots, peering through the camera whilst bawling my eyes out! I am so happy for you guys and wish you the best for a long and happy life together with your beautiful little family.
I couldn't pick just a couple of my favourite photos, I love lots of them! This was by far my most enjoyable and memorable photoshoot ever!
